Terms of use

Iterare (iterare.app) is an application for planning trips on the map, offered by Rafael Torres García. By using it you accept these terms.

The service is free today. If any paid feature ever appears, it will be announced clearly, and you will never be charged for what you were already using without warning first.

Saving trips requires signing in with a Google account. You are responsible for what happens from your account, so look after it as you would any other.

You must be at least 14 years old to use Iterare.

The trips, notes and photos you upload remain yours. By using the service you give us the minimum permission needed to store them and show them to you —and to whoever you share the trip with— and nothing more.

If you publish a trip as a guide, you accept that the page becomes public and accessible to anyone, with your name as its author. You can withdraw it whenever you want.

Don't use Iterare for anything unlawful, to publish third-party content you hold no rights to, or to upload other people's personal data without their permission.

The application relies on free, public services from the open-source community. Automating requests, scraping data in bulk or any use that amounts to abusing those services is prohibited: the cost isn't ours, it falls on a community project.

Distances, times, trails and weather forecasts are worked out from third-party open data and are an estimate, not a truth. They may be out of date or simply wrong.

Iterare is not a navigation tool nor a mountain safety tool. A route drawn on the map does not mean the path exists, is open, or is safe on the day you go: the decision on the ground is yours, and it is worth checking against official cartography and local information.

When a figure cannot be calculated, the application says so rather than inventing an approximation. That is the rule, and it is deliberate.

Iterare is under active development. There may be outages, changes to features and bugs, and the service is provided «as is», with no guarantee that it will always be available or fit for any particular purpose.

If the service ever had to close, notice would be given far enough in advance for you to take your trips with you.

To the extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for damages arising from use of the application or from decisions taken on the basis of its estimates. What is never limited is liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, nor the rights the law grants you as a consumer.

You can stop using Iterare whenever you like and request deletion of your account by writing to hello@rafatorresgarcia.com. We may also suspend an account that breaches these terms, giving notice whenever possible.
